Cheese and Wine @ Kennards

A Cheese and Wine education course.

We're passionate about our selection of cheese and shamelessly believe that good cheese and wine matters. On the night we'll take a look at these two cornerstones of cultured pleasure. We hope that you'll enjoy yourselves and learn something new in the process.

Macr Kennard will be introducing a fine lineup of artisanal cheeses and explaining how they are made. Marc's a true cheese boffin and is never more happy then when he's up to his elbows in curds and whey, metaphorically speaking, as he explains why real cheese is worth seeking out over the anodyne impostors that litter the supermarket shelves.

On the vine front, Eric Edwards our resident wine buyer and lecturer, will guide you through some  important rules for matching wines with cheese. He'll take you through some exceptional wines along the way, as he explains the factors that can make or break a match.

So, whether you're a cheese fiend or wine fanatic, we hope you'll have plenty to taste, talk about and take with you when you leave.

Butchery with Marek

This is a fantastic evening, full of practical butchery skills that you can use at home. We've tailored this for the home kitchen, as we're sure it's nice to know how to butcher a whole cow, but can you sharpen a knife!

Marek is a master butcher and as well as teaching you the art of sharpening knives you'll learn to tie knots & how to prepare a number of diferent cuts of meat. You'll also get hands on experience with things like boning a leg of lamb, preparing a rack of ribs and cutting, rolling and tying a pork joint (which you get to take home!)
